Conscious living is how many of us want to live. So how do we get there? In this all level workshop, students will learn about conscious consumerism, and the effect disposability has on humans and the planet.

Jen Cox and Brittany McCollum of HIllcrest Waterbugs will educate students  about living minimally, going ZERO WASTE, using less plastic, and re-using wares and containers. They will take an in-depth look at what can (and cannot) be recycled, as well as composting, bio-degrading materials, and more.

Darcy Munoz of Darcy Apparel will educate about slow fashion, fabric content and the impact each type of fabric has environmentally so that as a consumer we can be more conscious with our purchases. Darcy will also touch on body inclusivity, sustainability, and ethical manufacturing.

By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a great knowledge of how to live a more sustainable lifestyle, along with the basic skills needed to become plastic free. Intro to a waste free and eco-friendly workplace will also be discussed.

Workshop is $20, includes all supplies needed for the session. It will take place on Saturday, October 5th at Bella Vita Jewelry in Downtown Little Rock.
Guests will have an opportunity to purchase wares from the Zero Waste Marketplace and Darcy Apparel pop-up shops before and after the workshop, and will receive a metal reusable straw and canvas tote to take home.
